Mission
The mission of Humanetrix (human.net.tricks) is to create and support
the development of open innovative technologies which serve to
bring people together across the spectrum of the human condition
and to promote positive change in society at large. We see
information technology--the Internet in particular--as providing
a powerful and nearly limitless set of tools which may be brought
to bear on behalf of the public good. The promotion of human
dialog, personal interconnectedness, cultural understanding,
the cultivation of civil society, general life-long curiosity
and the greater enjoyment of life are all at the heart of our
mission and thus, the projects and educational
initiatives we devise and support.
You Can Help
All of our endeavors aim to create communities, to interconnect with each other
and to make information resources more accessible. Thus we try to insure that
anyone, yes anyone, can contribute to Humanetrix projects in many different
ways. You needn't dream in HTML or be an Internet gazillionaire. You can just
be you. Here's how you can help, no matter what kind of you you are.

Freedom
We use free software
like the GNU/Linux
operating system, PHP &
mySQL and open standards like
XML,
HTML &
CSS to build and host our projects. We
couldn't be more pleased! Not only is free (as in freedom) software best of breed,
but it is open to anyone's scrutiny and improvement. We hope that you'll consider
using free software and openly-developed, royalty free public standards as well.
